Michael Moore Is An Idiot.......

"Calm down white people and put away your guns"    He is the epitome of a racist.  He is dividing the country and making a lot of money doing it.  I was going to do a nice post about what a doushebag he is, but he is not worth my time or energy. Pathetic, ignorant, despicable, evil...choose whichever you would like they all apply.  He kind of makes it easy on us though....... a total loser!!

Ban Everything?

We have complex issues in this country. I have listened to the calls for banning private ownership of all guns. They make a compelling argument. The 2nd Amendment contains the word "militia". Therefore, unless you belong to a militia, you should not have a gun. I see their point, but let's not stop there. As I said, these are complex issues. Let's look at what else should be banned, restricted, or changed:

1- Free Speech. Children have died because of cult leaders, religious zealots, and political fringe groups. Music and television is too violent. Ban the 1st Amendment. The Press must be certified and licensed by the state, and they will give your opinions to you. Religions must be legally recognized and certified by the state. The Constitution says we can't sponsor any religion, but says nothing about us banning them. The freedom to assemble is limited to small groups in private dwellings, except for once a year to celebrate Obama's Birthday.
2- 2nd Amendment.  Banned as previously stated. Trained and uniformed government employees must handle all self defense issues.
3- Fire extinguishers. are hereby banned for private ownership. You are not certified by the state to fight fires. Improperly extinguished flames can cause harm to your neighbor's person and property. Trained government employees will be solely responsible for all combustion events. You have no Constitutional right to a house, let alone a house that is not on fire.
4- All private stockpiles of food. We have children starving, while others are obese. Obviously you people can not handle feeding yourselves or your dependents. You may keep only FDA approved bottled water and 3 days supply of crackers on hand(2 crackers per person per day). You have no Constitutional right to food. Government certified nutritionists will see you are fed.
5- Empty your medicine cabinets. Children can overdose on OTC medications. Only licensed doctors may prescribe medication, and only licensed pharmacists may dispense them. The person the prescription is written to faces harsh penalties if they fall into anyone else's hands. We don't care what you do with them, but we suggest storing them in all of those recently emptied gun safes. You have no Constitutional right to medicine, except leeches, which were used at the time the Constitution was written.
6- Education. We have high unemployment. And we have people who are just plain unemployable. Obviously, you have been given way too much freedom to seek your own paths in life. Yes, you have a right to public education. But the rights of the community as a whole trump your individual rights. We will decide based on early aptitude testing what your future employment options are, and educate you accordingly. The unemployable will be sent to w̶o̶r̶k̶ ̶c̶a̶m̶p̶s̶ vocational training facilities for reeducation and reintroduction into productive society.

Immediately after these reforms are implemented, a Federal Task Force on Private Ownership will be formed, with the sole goal of creating an Impact Study of Private Ownership of Businesses and Personal Incomes, and how they affect society as a whole. No taxes will be raised during this period of study. All additional costs will be borrowed and paid for somewhere down the line. It may even be after you're deceased, in which case, it's FREE!!!!

And all of this safety and security can be yours, for the low low price of your freedom.

Disclaimer: This is not a call to grab your tin foil hats. Merely a way to point out how ridiculous gun bans are. I hope it made you laugh and think. And if you support gun bans, and do not find this funny, I assure you we're laughing AT YOU!

Jane Fonda As Nancy Reagan....

The Irony of a pathetic, lying, traitor playing Nancy Reagan, one of the most classy, elegant and likable First Ladies we've ever had is just wrong on so many different levels.  Enough said!

Gun Control, Sandy Hook Elementary & Mental Illness

As Funerals get planned and the news begins to subside, we are left with the aftermath of the Sandy Hook tragedy.  Heroic actions are now coming out about teachers and staff that gave their lives for the children.  As with all tragedies it brings out the very best and worst in people.  Mothers and fathers hugged their children a little harder, people came together to comfort each other and to provide any help they can.  Instead of just names and ages these children became real as we saw pictures of them, smiles so wide and of joy that only could come from children.

Then the who and why began to emerge and things became ugly.  Gun control advocates took this as their opportunity to politicize and set into action a ban on assault rifles and those in favor of our 2nd Amendment to bear arms wondered if one of the staff in the school had a gun, would the outcome be any different.  I actually think the debates are a good thing right now.  Hopefully we can find some middle ground that will actually make a difference instead of the all or nothing arguments that are becoming more and more prominent in society.

This is not a tragedy about evil vs. good.  It's so much more than owning or not owning a gun.  It is about the system that let everyone down.  A culture that is growing more and more violent and people that are becoming immune to death.  Not in the sense that people don't care if someone gets killed but they get desensitized by it.  It's everywhere you look.  On all the news channels and more and more in the spotlight by celebrities and athletes.

God is slowly but surely getting kicked out of our lives.  No religion is allowed in schools or public buildings.  We can't even celebrated Christmas because " Oh My!" we might just offend someone.  We seem to hate and judge our neighbors instead of loving them.  This country is becoming more and more divided. (I won't go into who I think is responsible, that is a whole other blog)

Finally we come to the main reason, that in my humble opinion contributed the most in these killings.  Mental illness.  This is a subject that gets my emotions rumbling because for over 16 years, doctors thought I suffered from anxiety.  I was finally diagnosed with Dysautonomia and could finally put the erroneous conclusions from hundreds of doctors.  I have had my share of lousy doctors so I am a little jaded in that department.  I have been on just about every medication you can think of and I had my share of side effects that landed me in the hospital.  Although I don't recall most of it, when getting weaned of a medication called Effexor I became suicidal.  Yep, plain old me became a scary replica of myself.  I was watched at all times but if I had not had the constant supervision and support, I honestly can't tell you what would have happened.  We are discussing a very sick individual that was facing a life of mental hospitals.  I can imagine what that feels like and until you can, you have no idea what was going through my mind.  I've never put this out in the open because it is something that is very traumatic to me and brings back bad memories.  I got to a place where no one could figure out what to do with me, doctors had given up and run out of medications.   To complicate matters, I was pregnant with Anthony.  During one of my many trips to the hospital, a doctor suggested signing myself into a Mental Hospital. He said I could sign out anytime and there would be a doctor keeping a close eye on me.  Since I had a horrible case of morning sickness and had lost a lot of weight, they could treat that too.  There would be counseling and constant activities to help me. It was the worst decision I have ever made in my life.  To make an already long story short, they kept me tied to a bed in a monitored room and gave me psycho medications that indeed make me psycho. I wanted to crawl out of my skin and it made me very restless. (a lovely side effect of the meds)   It was the worst kind of hell, it was pure torture.  The one consolation for me was that I was told since I voluntary signed myself in, I could simply sign myself out.  Wrong, I had to put in a request and wait 48 hours.  Suffice it to say, I have never quite been able to put that behind me.  If I faced a life in a Mental Hospital, I am not sure what I would do, but for someone that was already struggling with a life of Aspergers, I imagine it would be unbearable.  There will never be one single reason for Sandy Hook tragedy but only by open communication can we try our damnedest to make sure that it doesn't happen again.

Tragedy at Sandy Hook

This is in Israel where a teacher is armed, ready to protect the children under her care.  Is this where we are headed.  Should it?

My heart is breaking right now for the families in Connecticut who lost their children to a massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The horrific nature of this slaughter was just too much for anyone for anyone to comprehend.   The questions have already begun.  Why?  What if guns were banned.  What if someone at the school had a gun on them? Could they have stopped him. Was he on medication? What could have prevented this. Where was God?  How could He let this happen?

Nothing could have prevented this.  Are there ways to make schools a safer haven for children?  Yes, and I am sure these will be tossed around in the days following this tragedy.  This is not the first time this has happened and unfortunately will not be the last.  Society has become a very jaded place where everyone is out for themselves.  They see guns on movies and video games and it desensitizes them toward death.   This is a culture of violence. These type of killings are becoming more and more common and we need to ask ourselves why.  Something in this country is damaged badly and until we recognize and address it, this will continue.  The problem is no one knows that what "it" is.  It is different in every situation, and it is imposible to point the finger at just one thing.  Maybe we need to start looking around us and thinking about others first.

I came acroos this post and it said so much of what I am feeling..... click here to read full article.

[ We do not, and cannot possibly, control all the actions of every other person on the planet. The government can't do it. The churches can't do it. The schools can't do it. The neighbors can't do it. We can love one another and look out for one another and pass laws to protect one another to the utmost best of our ability, but in the end, we are free to chose our own actions. That is both our greatest gift and curse.
We had a story last month about a fight in a high school parking lot that reportedly involved somebody brandishing a gun. Shortly after it ran, I had a couple of calls from parents furious that other schools hadn't been locked down while police searched for the suspect. (Story here:http://democratherald.com/news/local/sahs-fight-lockdown-raises-questions/article_e651765a-3ab0-11e2-823d-001a4bcf887a.html). During a conversation with one of the callers, she said something to the effect of, "So anybody can just pull into a school parking lot and start a fight? Isn't that kind of scary?"
Well ... yes, I told her. But it's a parking lot. What, exactly, is the alternative? Barbed wire? Guard towers? How do we secure the parking lot at the mall, or the gas station, or even the police department?
I won't quarrel with the argument that our society doesn't place enough emphasis on mental health. But reality is, you cannot eliminate crazy. Eliminating weapons won't end society's pain. Seven people died from ingesting potassium cyanide in pain-reliever capsules back in 1982. Farming fertilizer helped kill 168 people in Oklahoma City in 1995. We discovered in 2001 that a determined terrorist can take down a building with a jet plane.
I saw a post after the Clackamas shooting complaining about the media effort to find out about the shooter. The poster argued this guy should die a nobody, and that nothing good could come of the attention.
I disagree. I think it's human to want to know why, to see if there were any warning signs, to use the knowledge to be better prepared for the future. We can't do that without knowing more.
But the important thing to recognize, along with that investigation, is that while there may be explanations, there will never be - can never be - a 100 percent foolproof solution to every situation, every time.
Not while we live with other people. Not without compromising that very essence of our humanity: free will.
Let's say you found some agitated loner who exhibits signs of potential violence. Let's say you were in the position to extend all the help you can to him: friendship, community support, medication if necessary, the removal of all obvious access to something he could use to hurt himself or someone else.
But in the end, what do you really do to ensure he will never be a danger? Lock him up? Where? For how long? Who's responsible? Who pays? What can he have and not have while he's there?
And here's the real question: What do you do to stop the people-turned-monsters who never indicated, until they blew, that they might have been agitated loners at all?
We can avoid air travel. We can stay out of movie theaters. We can take our kids out of school. We can make it a point to never shop at a mall again.
We also can change our names and hole up in a bunker and live off the land until we die.
And realistically, that's what it would take to be absolutely and completely and positively sure that we would be safe from random, senseless acts of violence.]

My thoughts and prayers go out to all those involved in this tragedy.  No words I can offer at this moment will lesson the heartbreak that so many are feeling.  I ask the Lord to wrap his hands around those who are hurting and grieving and give them the strength to get through the upcoming days and weeks ahead of them.  God bless this country.

Walk On Eggshells...I Think Not!

Let me make sure I get this straight.  Our American men and women that are giving their time, effort, sweat, tears and sometimes the ultimate price for Afghanistan need to walk on eggshells because they might offend someone.  I think our military needs to tell whoever made this new handbook, that they can kiss their American asses!!

A proposed new handbook for Americans serving in Afghanistan warns them not to speak ill about the Taliban, advocate women’s rights or criticize pedophilia, and the general in charge is not happy with it.
The draft of the newest Army handbook seems to suggest that ignorance of Afghan culture is to blame for deadly attacks by Afghan soldiers against the coalition forces, according to The Wall Street Journal, which got a peek at the 75-page document. But its message of walking on eggshells around the locals is not going over well with U.S. Marine Gen. John Allen, the top military commander in Afghanistan.
"Gen. Allen did not author, nor does he intend to provide, a foreword," said Col. Tom Collins, a spokesman for the U.S.-led coalition in Afghanistan. "He does not approve of its contents."
More than three dozen attacks by Afghan soldiers have claimed the lives of some 63 members of the U.S.-led coalition this year. The insider attacks could jeopardize plans to transfer full security control to Afghan forces in 2014.
"He does not approve of its contents."
- Col. Tom Collins, a spokesman for U.S. Marine Gen. John Allen
But a claim by their own government that they’re to blame is not likely to buoy the spirits of Americans risking their lives to serve.
"Many of the confrontations occur because of [coalition] ignorance of, or lack of empathy for, Muslim and/or Afghan cultural norms, resulting in a violent reaction from the [Afghan security force] member," the Journal quotes the draft handbook as saying.
The version reviewed by the Journal is still subject to revisions,  Lt. Gen. David Perkins, commander of the Army's Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., told the Journal.
The study, based on interviews with 600 members of the Afghan security forces and 200 American soldiers, painted a grim portrait of opposing cultures with simmering disdain for their counterparts.
The draft handbook includes a summary stating that some U.S. soldiers consider Afghan forces to be “basically stupid” thieves, "gutless in combat," "profoundly dishonest" and engaged in "treasonous collusion and alliances with enemy forces."
The draft handbook offers a list of "taboo conversation topics" that soldiers should avoid, including "making derogatory comments about the Taliban," "advocating women's rights," "any criticism of pedophilia," "directing any criticism toward Afghans," "mentioning homosexuality and homosexual conduct" or "anything related to Islam," according to the Journal.

Stress Relief..... A Funny!

The Democrat Party today announced that it is changing its symbol from the Donkey to a Condom because it more accurately reflects the Party's political stance. A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of dicks, and gives you a sense of security while you're actually being screwed.
Damn, it just doesn't get more accurate than that!

1,000,000....

A million dollars. When I think of that number, so many things come to mind; Paying off and saving my home or selling my house and finally moving down south. College tuition for my kids, A car that is reliable and not needing repair. Surgery my husband desperately needs. The government throws this number around like it is chump change. They give it to other countries when the people here are in desperate need.

Obama thinks nothing about spending almost 4 million for a Hawaii vacation or for the presidential inauguration. I have major issues with celebrities. Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon, Bruce Springsteen, Ashley Judd, Madonna, just to name a few. They seem to have all these liberal views about everyone being equal, the redistribution of wealth. Yet they live in million dollar mansions, have exotic cars, and have more money that they know what to do with. I would like for them to spend a week in my shoes. They have absolutely no idea of the reality of living in the real world. Try living paycheck to paycheck. Try putting off doctor's appointments, medical procedures, surgeries because you cannot afford insurance or are between jobs.

Every time I see a million dollars thrown around like candy it makes me physically sick. All I can think about was how much different my life would be. How much different my kids lives could be. There is such a huge difference between the have's and the have's not's, that I don't think they can truly understand what the middle class goes through. So please either put up or shut up. Give your millions to the middle class if you feel so strongly that we all should be on the same fiscal level.

I have trouble with the fact that someone who throws a ball, makes more than the soldier that fights for his freedom to do so. When we look up to someone that has the ability to throw a curve ball, as a role model, then we have a major problem, but then I am not telling you anything that you don't already know.

Racist Much?

Free Healthcare Isn't Very......FREE!

$63.00 You heard right folks....  Obamacare is going to cost an additional $63.00.  What does that mean?  ....higher insurance premiums, loss of jobs, a down hill spiral.  This is what you voted for, hope you are satisfied!!

Dysautonomia 1, Jennifer 0

I didn't fill in a title right away because I am not sure where I am heading with this post.  I've always tried to have a half full perspective on things.  Anytime I feel disheartened, I always think to myself "It could be worse."  It can, but tonight those words just aren't soothing me the way they always have.  I feel discouraged in a way that I can't quite talk myself out of.

I feel defeated.  I feel like I have been trampled on without anyone even noticing me lying flattened on the ground.  My strength has been pushed to the limit both physically and emotionally.  Although I now have a name for the hell this disorder has caused me for over 17 years, it doesn't really matter.  There is no cure.  There are medicines that control your symptoms.  I live with the limitations as a constant reminder that I am sick and as hard as I try to not let it define who I am, I can only do so much.

I really hate it when people ask me how I feel because all I really want to do is scream at them and say "NO!  I am not okay.  I am not getting by.  I am not hanging in there."  I have said all these so many different times to count because this is what people want to hear.  They can't handle the truth... I can picture Jack Nicholson saying it that way too.  I don't mean this in a demeaning way but unless you live it, or live with someone that suffers, you can not possibly understand the toll it takes on your body and soul.  I'm glad, because I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

Do you really want to know how I am doing?

I hate waking up in the morning (actually its more afternoon because of the insomnia).  I know I should be thankful that I woke up because I know there are people out there that have to live with the fact that a loved one didn't.

The idea of getting dressed fills me with dread.  Not only because trying to find something to fit this bloated, sick body of mine is a huge undertaking, but the effort it takes to "get dressed" leaves me feeling like I've run the Boston marathon.  Forget looking in a mirror, it has become my worst enemy.  Taking a simple shower is an ordeal.

I am so sick of doctors and medications and yet I know I should be thankful that I am in a country where I have access to them. At least for the moment anyway, until Obama gets though with hijacking the healthcare system.  You know I had to get political somewhere in here.  :)

I used to love Christmas shopping or for that matter anything with my mom.  We would share a day when we could just talk and laugh, and we would have fun no matter where we went or what we did.  I did a little Christmas shopping the other day and thank goodness that Walmart has those carts because there is no way I could have lasted 5 minutes without one.  Unfortunately, not a whole lot of stores are equipped with them.  After one store I am ready to call it a night.  I feel that loss deeply.

I think the biggest loss at the moment is my family.  We go through the motions but I can't help but feel that I am a burden.  I have always been active in my kids lives.  There wasn't an activity I would miss, whether it be soccer, awards, plays, concerts, etc.  I was PTA VP and I loved it.  Everything has changed.  I am a shell of the person I used to be.  I cannot just go out on a whim. I cannot stand for any length of time.  If I am sitting, when I go to stand, I get lightheaded.  I can't drive, or go anywhere by myself.  I never realized that grocery shopping, and errands would become a luxury, or  I would miss the fact that I could just run the boys to the mall, or a game.

I love my husband with all my heart but I know this has taken a toll on him too. He runs himself ragged trying to be a father, a husband, caregiver, income supplier and I see how hard it is.  He would never admit it, but I can't help but think that a day comes that he will resent me for all of the things that we missed out on not only as a couple but a family.

I hate the fact people stare at me and wonder if I am pregnant or just fat.  It is humiliating and beyond frustration when I barely eat anything and yet look and feel like an elephant.  I get angry that I am on this hideous diet where I can eat chicken, rice, potatoes, and strawberries. (There are a few other things I can have but have to be gluten, high fructose, and dairy free)  I want to be able to eat birthday cake, a big cheesy slice of pizza or a PB&J sandwich.

I hate that I get out of breath from simply walking a few feet.  I hate the limitations holding me back from the simple things in life.   I think what I have the hardest thing accepting is when I see other people complaining about things that I would give my right hand to be able to do.  I feel myself getting more jaded and bitter the longer I suffer.  Deep down I know I am blessed.  I have an amazing family, a roof over my head, (although not for long, thanks again Obama) enough food to nourish my body (although it's yucky) and a personal relationship with my Lord.  I guess sometimes I just need to have a little pity party before I have to put on my big girl panties and suck it up.  Appreciate what I have and stop complaining about what I don't.  Although I must admit that is a whole lot easier said then done.  I don't know if anyone will actually read this whole thing, but if you do happen to make it down here, thank you for listening!!

KKK aka NRA

KKK. Holocaust. Racism. Hitler.  These words are thrown around as a comparison to people and events that are happening in today's society.  All these words have an impact all by themselves but are becoming trivial by people that use these words so loosely.

Jason Whitlock compared the NRA to the KKK.   This is insulting and offensive and frankly it pisses me off.  How dare this sanctimonious ass compare law abiding citizens that have met the requirements of the NRA to own a gun that is supported by the United States Constitution.  Jason, have you heard of the 2nd Amendment?  I abhor the KKK and what they stand for.  You do everyone that is in or supports the NRA a grave injustice.  Sir, you are a racist, ignorant man, and you should think twice about spouting off things that you have no business doing.

Hitler was a monster.  He was evil personified.  As much as we may dislike (being very generous here) politicians, to compare them to Hitler is undignified.  I've seen many signs comparing both Bush and Obama to him.  If you think that our politicians resemble a man that was capable of atrocious, heinous acts of mass murder then you really need to go back and do some research.

Tragedy Turned Into Political Point

Bob Costas is not only an idiot, but pathetic.  I'm sure you have all heard the story about the murder suicide of Jovan Belcher from the Kansas City Chiefs.  You'd literally have to be in a bubble considering the coverage this is getting.  Sometimes that bubble looks very inviting considering the idiocy of some people.  Besides the fact that the 2nd Amendment gives us the right to bear arms, this debate rages on.  Guns do not kill people, people kill people.  The fact that he owned a gun is a non-issue.

Lets suppose that he didn't own a gun.  Think of all the devices that he had at his disposal, if you will.  His fist, which would have taken a much longer time and would have hurt a lot worse. A knife unless directly to the heart would have taken numerous times.  Not so long ago someone was arrested for beating his wife with a baseball bat, that would not have been pleasant either.    The point that I am slowly getting at is this would have happened no matter what was in his hand, his intention was murder and would have happened regardless of the weapon.

If we followed Costas' argument, we would have to assume that cigarettes, alcohol, medication, junk food, knives, baseball bats, curtain rods, rope, pillows...I could go on but hopefully if you have the slightest bit of common sense you know where I am going with this.   There are many ways to kill a person if that is what is in someone's heart and mind.

Murderer's, thieves, drug dealers, etc.. will get their hands on guns one way or another, mostly illegal.  So you would leave the average American with no way to defend himself if he was threatened.  I have no problem with restrictions that make owning a gun safer but to take away the right of a nation because a person was killed by a gun is ludicrous.  That Bob Costas takes this tragedy to make a political point is down right low, but by no means, a surprise.
